Who we are:
Gleaners of Clackamas County, Inc. (GCCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% volunteer, membership, food share organization. Our primary mission through food distribution is to reduce both hunger and waste. The GCCI warehouse is in the heart of Clackamas County and works with many teams to distribute food throughout the county to low-income households. We reduce economic hardship and increase food options for approximately 3,000 Clackamas County residents weekly.
1. Gleaners of Clackamas County Inc. is operated 100% by volunteers; there are no paid staff, managers, or board members. This reduces our operational costs, and allows for maximum program assistance to those in need for each dollar donated.
2. While we gratefully accept and utilize various types of foods and products, we specialize in distributing perishable, nutritional foods quickly to those in need. Most food assistance programs only take canned or dried goods, or very limited amounts of perishables. We see to it that these nutritional items don't go to waste by taking these worthwhile goods and giving them to those in need.
